I bought a job lot of ceramic door knobs to keep costs down on renovation... You obv get what you pay for - the knobs constantly move on the spindles,l..... annoying!
Whats the solution? Replace the spindles?

Take them off the spindles, grease the spindles. Mix some plastic padding, car body repair type stuff, fill the socket in the door knobs, then quickly push the spindles in, ensuring they are aligned/centred. Before the PP fully sets, pull the spindle out. Once the PP has fully set, clean up the surplus from the door knob.

This sounds like a good plan, but do you mean I should let it go off fully in position? Or remove and let go off?

I was thinking, you need to be able to get the knobs back off the spindles, if so - pull the spindles out before the PP sets.

Do the knobs screw on, or slide on, to the spindles?

Do the knobs have a grubscrew to grip the spindle?

Gluing them on is a ridiculous idea

Post some photos

They slide on with grub screws, the screws dont hold adequately.... The spindles are smooth with no indents....
