Internal FD30 Fire doors

Quick question…..Can I replace my current 35mm doors with 35mm FD30 fire doors using the original frame but upgrade the hinges to CE approved fire door hinges? Will this comply with building regs or do I need to purchase a new frame?

You can fit FD30 doors into an old frame/lining providing the doorstops meet the requirement. 12mm is standard for domestic purposes. You may have to remove and replace door stops anyway to accommodate a 44mm door.
