Hi everyone,
I have a very old house. Around 1830. I've took all the plaster off the internal walls and have battened all the walls. Floor to ceiling. Nothing is attached to any of the brickwork. Could anybody advise me on the best insulation to use. The outside is brick no render. And it's single 9" brickwork.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Did you consider putting foam backed plasterboard on the walls?

Now you have battened them, you can put 50mm kingspan PIR insulation in all the gaps. Foil backed plasterboard on top with all joints sealed meticulously to stop vapour getting behind.
