Hi everyone
I have a loft conversion that previously had an open staircase into the space. In an effort to make it into a proper bedroom, I’ve removed the bannister and replaced it with a 3x2 wall
Once it’s finished, I’ll be adding 50mm insulation and then taping with foil and covering with plasterboard, but I won’t be skipping. I’m just going to tape and joint.
On one side of the wall is the bedroom, which has a single radiator, and also air conditioning. On the other side is the stairs which links to the other three floors in the house.
In this instance, does anyone think I need to put a vapour barrier in, and if so, on which side would be considered warm?
Thanks!
