Internal Roofing Board breaking

Been up in the loft and have noticed that some of the internal roofing material, a kind of material board is breaking and bursting inside the loft.

Is this likely to be serious problem. Seems to be particularly on the font of the house where the prevailing wind hits.

the lining board you see visible has no structural purpose, just cosmetic.

i havent a clue why it is there!

there is nowt wrong with a drafty loft.

Thats good to know, it does seem to be the wind thats breaking it.
