Is a 4 : 1 ; sand : cement mix good for an internal scratch coat? Also, what is the preferred sand to use? I did some outside rendering and can't remember if it was a 4:1 or 5:1 mix and as it was outside render my sand mix was half sharp, half builders.
Lastly, outside I added lime and plastisiser/waterproofer. Do I need this internally? I would imagine waterproofer is a definite yes.
