Is it possible to remove IE7 and re install IE6?

Or at least adjust the task bar at the top of the screen..I dont like having 3 bars up there and I think they are a waste of space.

Cheers

have you tried turning them off in view/toolbars?

The only one you can turn off is the Menu bar..which is the most useful.

There doesnt seem to be an option for the address bar or the tabs.

why turn off the address bar? do you not use it to surf the web?
tabs you turn off in internet options

Tools/Internet Options go to the tabs section below and click on settings

uncheck the enable tabbed browsing checkbox click the ok's, close and restart IE7

gcol do you have the ability to turn off the address bar in firefox then?

If u remember when you added IE7 u could do a system restore. Or just go to add and remove programs in control panel and remove IE7 from there>

No I don't think you can - but then you wouldn't really want to. You can put the address bar on the menu bar which saves space and results in 2 rows rather than the 3 that you're stuck with in IE7 (which is what Zampa was originally trying to sort and was what I was replying to).
Of course Zampa, if you want to display your po.rn in full screen, you can toggle full screen mode with F11. ;)

In Firefox, you could get rid of the address bar if you wanted. I've got mine set up kind of like the very old Internet Explorer (I don't know how to put a screen shot up, so I'll just tell you)

First I've got the Menu Bar
Then the toolbar with: Back, Forward, Home, Reload, Stop, Cut, Copy, Paste, Downloads, History, New Window
Then under that I've got the address bar
Then under that I've got my Yahoo toolbar installed which has the search bar on it.

It's all very tidy.

And I always found that IE kept freezing up on me - that's why I moved over to Firefox. Never get problems with it and it's faster than IE as well I think.
