I read an article today on the front page of the free "Metro" newspaper, what a dripping wet liberal rag. It told the plight of an Albanian man living over here who had seen some relatives in photographs of the recent boat landings. He was in distress and desperately trying to find where they were being held. The article went on and on about how heartless the country and its immigration system is. There were other similar stories elsewhere in the paper - "Britain's Shame" etc etc. I read them all closely because I was looking for a certain piece of information.

I didn't find what I was looking for though. Can anyone guess what information I was looking for?

None of the puff pieces in the Metro mentioned what terrors the Albanian refugees were seeking refuge from. Extensive (and probably expensive) research by The Spectator says they come because the UK offers better opportunities. I could have told them that for nothing.
