There is a time and place for everything but not in public.
And soap writers, stop thinking you have to have an obligatory gay couple, drug taker/dealer, murderer or alcoholic in every soap!!!
In normal life you will not get such a variety in a standard size street anywhere in the country never mind a small back street such as Corrie or Albert Square!
I don't watch these programmes but I catch glimpses of them if the wife is watching them, (which she constantly does!).
If I am right we have the following;
Coronation Street,
1/ A Murderer
2/ A lesbian
3/ Two homosexuals
4/ An alcoholic
5/ A philanderer, (the guy that drives a taxi and runs the Rovers)
6/ A conman.
Eastbenders,
1/ Two homosexuals
2/ A philanderer/peadophile (Max?)
3/ A murderer, (Mitchell), with another murder coming up I believe
4/ A conman (little bloke who thinks he a hard man, don't know name, related to Max)
5/ Ex prostitute (Casey/Stacey or something)
6/ Drug dealer (guy who turned Casey/Stacey in to prosser)
Emmerdale
1/ Homosexual
2/ Hoodlum (Caine Dingle)
3/ Druggie (girl on the farm)
4/ Murderer (Tate/King brothers)
5/ Lesbians
Home & Away
1/ Drug dealer
2/ Philanderer (take your pick, there have been a few!)
3/ Hoodlums (brothers who run a bar and 1 also involved as dealer)
4/ Murderer (WPC shot the other week)
Neighbours
1/ Homosexual
2/ Murderer
Can't be bothered thinking of any others.
