Long story short, tore down old walls in loft room, and will insulate between studs with rockwool. Would like to avoid cold bridging through studs but don't want to lose room space and mess about with the door jamb if possible. As I have acess behind the studs I could either throw up 100mm glass wool or another round of rockwool slabs behind the studs as well.

This won't cause any issues doing it back to front, will it? Also, best way to hold the insulation against the studs so it doesn't fall down?

If you're standing in a loft, only insulate the floor if you have no heat source (radiator etc..). Insulating a loft in other places without heating can and often causes damp issues.

It's a loft room, so there is heating within the room as it is used as a bedroom.

Did you decide what you were going to do in the end? I'm in a not-dissimilar situation with a loft room.

Well, presumably going to just carry on with the original plan as nobody has said anything to the contrary. As it's all breathable stuff I don't think it'll cause issues, and throwing the design up on Ubakus doesn't show any condensation issues arising either under normal conditions.
