I mean where your newly built up render will be taken up to the neighbours. If the renders are vastly different, ie. lime and concrete would this becme mroe important, cheers.
Thankyou.

Also whats better for sealing the outsides of windows? Ob1 or ct1? and would ct1 or ob1 also be a good choice for the render sealant?
Thanks.

Both OB1 and CT1 are MS polymers. I know that CT1 is external UV safe, I am guessing that OB1 is but you may want to check.

Between the properties, I thought that polysulfide was the go to. I may be wrong

--Edit-- It looks like polysulfides may now have been usurped by MS polymers.

Thanks I managed to get a discount on ct1 so went with that.
I cant see sealant used on other houses, but thats likely due to it being painted over. So this is common right?

I can't comment on that. On the occasions that I have used it for bridging gaps in render, the plasterer has used an angle bead and I have filled the gap.

I don't completely understand your question though.

if house on left has had all the render ripped off and new put on afterwards, should sealant then be put at the joint where new render meets the neighbours old render on the right?

Is this common practice especially when we have differnt render types like lime and cement bertween the joints?

Thanks.
