Is it ok to use 180 degree bend on Soil Pipe?

Hi,

I am changing the layout of my bathroom. This means that the toilet (low-level) is currently using a 90 degree bend at the soil pipe. Where I intend to re-site it would mean that it requires a 180 degree bend. There would be a 90 degree bend coming out from the toilet, then approx. 8 - 10 inches of straight pipe, then another 90 degree bend

I am guessing that it is not ideal to have such a bend, but would appreciate your views. Unfortunately the floor is concrete, otherwise I would have routed it through it - and I don't really want to go to the hassle of digging it out and replacing it

Check building regulations (Google) - part H1 specifies what you can and can't do with soil and waste pipework.

180º = a straight line !!!

I know what you mean though. Theres a fitting made by McAlpine, part number WC CON 8F that may be of some help Its a bent pan connector with a flexible end on it that should be able to reach round that 10 inches and fit into the soil pipe. Use it in conjunction with a 90º bend if you have probs.

Thanks for the replies. I have checked the Building Regulations and there is no mention that this bend would be 'outlawed'.
