Is my garden wall safe?

Hi

We have had a structure knocked down and a partial will built on top on the existing boundary wall. It is 182cm wide and 192cm tall. It has been tied into the existing wall at one end I have received conflicting information about the wall needing to be finished off will a pillar at the other end.

Any advise would be greatly received.

The fence ends a couple of cm at most after were the wall starts
