We've had a quote for some rubber flooring, but they have said our "chipboard" subfloor is not stable enough, and so they would need to lay plywood over it first.
As it isn't actually chipboard, but is OSB, would this actually be a suitable subfloor material?
My research suggests that OSB is more dimensionally stable than plywood (warps less, and expands/contracts more uniformly), is that the same kind of stability they would have meant? Does this mean it should be as suitable, if not more suitable, as plywood?
