Hello all,

Our Neighbors have just had their roof replaced and it looks like ours has been damaged in the process.

It was in pretty poor condition anyway as its pretty old and normally just get patched up, but it looks like they have just pulled tiles across to cover the gap and knocked a few tiles down as well.

is this repairable? the join also looks pretty odd but i don't know much about roofs to comment on whats acceptable

Many thanks

James

You have cause for complaint .
Firstly they should not have interfered with your roof in such away , there are damaged slates refitted.
And bonds stretched which is shoddy . Fyi there are double width slates available which they could have used to help here .
Old or not they have replaced their roof in a cement fibre fake slate of a different size to yours .
The original slate is superior by a long way
I would demand the join of the two different products is corrected .
Wouldn't look good in a survey .
