This is my house and I would like to remove the wall marked X on the first floor. The entrance way is on the ground floor and there is a flat below us. There is a beam (drawn onto the floor plan) and the joist are screwed to the beam. The outerwalls are brick but we a join other flats. The wall to be removed looks like a stud wall bu I'm not sure.

Probably not structural if a stud wall, you can check by tapping tne wall, a hollow sound over the plasterboard, a duller one where the joists are located. Back up with a stud finder or a powerful (neodymium) magnet which will identify tne fixings and therefore the stud location. Check your lease for any freeholders permission required for building work.

That would appear to be non structural, but you should check what the stud walls above are sitting on.

That said, removing the separation between the kitchen and the hallway will contravene Part B which would not be permitted, you will no longer have a protected entrance hall ie in order to escape from any other room in the property you would need to escape past the unprotected kitchen.
