Is this a wheel head radiator valve?

I have a couple of radiators with these valves on both ends (no lock shield, no TRV). I think they're "wheel head valves", is that correct? Can I simply replace the head with a TRV head, or should the entire valve be replaced?

That's a TRV.
Really.. interesting. There are no numbers on the head.. can I replace the head? If so.. do you know what make might be compatible? I think another rad might have a similar value with a honeywell head..

Looks like it's a decorators cap on a TRV head.

If you have a matching TRV with a TRV head that works properly on another rad then that's the head you need. Mix and matching different TRV heads is not advised as it's a hit 'n' miss affair, they may or may not work.
