Is this a window disaster?

Hello,

I'd really appreciate your thoughts and advice. We went with a local heritage window installer to replace our wooden windows.

They turned up to install and told us they'd measured two windows incorrectly so they couldn't be completed yet.

Our two large bay windows were also incorrectly ordered with two out of the six bays on each 6cm wider than the others in the middle. They still persisted until I said we would be a laughing stock!

They screwed up the plastering in one of our bedrooms, which has to be redone, as well as the brickwork which, again, we had to ask to be made right. We were having the window extended, hence the widening at the bottom and brick removal.

There is also another window that I'm not sure has been measured correctly as it looks short - three red packers have been used (they are still loose in the gap) under the sill and we've been left with no date that they're going to return.

I'll attach some pictures.

That said, their operations manager seems fair and tells me everything will be corrected. Some of their fitters have done a good job on our other remaining windows, and we are really pleased with part of the work.

I'm just stressed that 20k spent on Residence windows won't be justified if the install is screwed up.

So yeah, I'm worried and would appreciate advice please!

why is the brickwork so damaged -I dont get it??

I dont like windows going right up to soffit -when I made timber windows I would make them shorter and put in a trim to cover.

I just edited my first post. We had a window extended downwards by three courses.
