Yeah the renderers werent the best. It's not the prettiest, but it's not a big enough gap to casue water damage to the render right? I forgot to include this shot with the guys work from couple months ago..oops.Renders all over the place ..
above:The end roof tiles should over hang the gutter. If you look from below and can see the sky through the gap, then something is wrong.
Hes coming back to finish that... extremely slowly. As long as the render or roof don't degrade faster Its bearable. Is that actually his fault or the renderers though. Also the house is 1860s and was disintegrating after they ripped old crap off, perhaps wasnt their fault either, I dont know enough about this stuff.Nice job on reattaching the near downspout after it was wrenched off to fit the fascia?
And aye carumba, that ski jump at the eaves makes the hip tiles look like someone put a hornby carriage on a brio track set
**** It looked ok from above, will my render die early becasue of this? The end roof tiles should over hang the gutter. If you look from below and can see the sky through the gap, then something is wrong.
Odds of me getting him back up to improve this are close to 0 innit... but can try.The distance between the gutter and tile seems a bit large. That means more water going onto the fascia. Any water going onto the fascia will probably end up on the render behind the fascia. The fascia really needs a drip groove to prevent water going towards the wall. Normally, this is handled by the soffit being higher than the lowest part of the fascia.
