Is this how a re-tile is done nowadays

Ive had my roof tiled and would like your opinion, Ill not say what i think until hopefully I get a response, they are all new lead valleys.

Liking the natural look in pic 2- why have a boring straight line when a nice wavy one will do.
Did you see how much overlap under the tiles there is on the valley lead?
Seems a shame to spend the cash on lead then give it such a lumpy finish.
 
Thanks for replying the lead is 75mm at best, the mortar is a mess, mustn't have brought the string line with them, can something be done with the ridge/hip joints surely that's not Right?

its all a mess, 75mm isn't enough cover on a bedded valley and it should not be bedded direct onto the lead anyway..
the chimney flashing is poor and unfinished
