That the Beatles were photographed crossing Abbey Road, I was 13 where has it gone!

I worked for a few months near Abbey Rd studios and had to drive over that crossing a couple times a day. Flipping annoying with endless people crossing back and fourth, taking photos!!

I was at the crossing in my van. Was going to jump out and have my photo. With my van in the background.. Wish I had now.

That the Beatles were photographed crossing Abbey Road, I was 13 where has it gone!

Nowhere, the crossing is still there and even has a web cam watching it. There were five Beatles in the original photo.

Up until 12 years ago I used to work regularly at half a dozen flats in St Johns Wood, a couple were in Alma Square and Hamilton Gardens behind the studios, regularly had to stop at the zebra crossing while Japanese tourists took pictures.
Happy days, although parking were a bit of a mare.

I have done the Beatles National Trust tour in Liverpool a couple of times, the number of people who have come from abroad to do the tour is staggering ( part of a bigger trip but an important part of it), Fab Four still making revenue for the UK
