Well it's a conundrum for us!
This is the last bit we have to do and not sure of the best way to do it
We've got 37.5 mm insulated pb ( or 25mm PIR and 9.5mm plaster board)
Door frame is 30mm and there's a 3-4 mm ( varies) gap between frame and the wall of the reveal EDIT- we've got about 40mm-33mm door frame and 6-7 mm gap. The gap varies.
We've got a batten to fix to on the return to the wall, but what's the best way to fix at the back where the door frame is?
Could we push fit some 25mm between the batten (overhangs into door reveal) and the frame, then put plasterboard over the top, screwed to the batten and glued to the frame/insulation behind?
or, should we fix (glue or screw?) a 15mm x 32mm batten to the door frame ( presume the 15mm would have to go against the door frame) and use insulated plasterboard? We'd have to cut back some of the insulation to allow for the small batten.
