Hi J, you gave me details recently for diamond hole saws from richon .Hong Kong, they arrived but minus an arbour/drill guide..how do you mange to use them with out slipping.

you use an arbour /drill guide from your existing set, or you didn't order the whole set, or they never sent it, or its still in the post
 
Sometimes they come with one, other times they dont, usually a set does though. You may be able to pick one up locally (take one of yours with you to make sure it fits) Dont try and bodge it - it will only end in tears (or rather blood)
 
These are not like standard holesaws, they do not come with a separate arbour and pilot, there are two ways of starting them.

For the experienced, hold the drill at an angle and gradually bring it level as the bit starts to cut - easy to slip and difficult to allign correctly.

For the in experienced, drill a hole to suit the holesaw freehand in a scrap of thin ply, MDF or what have you then position it centrally over where you want the hole and drill away. The diamond holesaw will drill the wood just dont let it overheat.
