This happened local to where I live so thought I'd post it on here to keep awareness up. http://www.socialalertme.com/alerts/joel-andrews/179.htm
Detectives searching for missing Gwent man Joel Andrews have appealed to the public for more information.Joel Andrews, aged 24, and from Gwent is described as a white man, slim build, approximately 5’ 10” in height, with mousy brown hair, blue eyes, and has a scar on his chin. He was last seen wearing a grey coloured ’animal’ hooded top, blue jeans, a dark green waist length jacket, and a camouflage cap.
We know Joel attended a rave near Chagford with his friends from Bristol but they have not seen him since Sunday, 22 May. Detectic Inspector Steve Parker, said:
“We have a team of detectives working round the clock to find Joel but as time goes on our concern for his safety inevitably increases. It is completely out of character for Joel not to make contact with his family and they are understandably very worried and desperate to hear from him.
“While we have heard from some of those attending the rave held last weekend we know there were many more people there and they may be able to help our enquiry. Our sole concern is for the safety of Joel and by speaking to people at the rave we can piece together Joel’s last known movements.
“A key line of our enquiries centres around Fernworthy Reservoir where Joel was last seen and we are particularly keen to hear from a group of people seen wading in the south bank area of the reservoir on Sunday lunchtime. Despite an earlier media appeal this group of potential witnesses has not come forward. It may be they noticed something which at the time seemed insignificant but it could be a vital clue for our investigation.
“Following our enquiries we also know that Joel was seen on Sunday, May 22nd riding a mini moto in the area around the reservoir. We are keen to hear from anyone else who saw Joel on the moto and would like to speak to the owner of the bike and ask them to contact police.
“So that we can build a picture of Joel’s last movements it is particularly important that we hear from anyone who saw Joel at the rave or has had contact with him since he was last seen on Sunday. If you can assist with any information please call the police on 08452 777444 quoting reference 421 280511.”
