John Lewis dishwasher anti-flood inlet hose/valve which way

Hello, I need to find out which way to install an inlet hose for a dishwasher with an anti-flood device fitted.
Its a John Lewis JLDWW 1206
Usually the valve needs to point down(on other machines) but the JL instructions dont mention this.
Currently in is fitted vertically up but im not sure if this is ok or not
Any help please, thx
