I have a new extension that I would like to join the drainpipe from into an existing underground soakway feed pipe (brown 100mm?). The extension downpipe is approx 60mm square, rather than try and fit a 45 degree join in the underground pipe to accept the new drainpipe, can a 'boss' be used for this connection. I've only seen 40mm boss connectors, would this be ok to handle the water flow? (20m2 roof), thanks

It might handle the water - but it wouldn`t handle the debris from the roof

& the existing soak away may not be capable of handling the additional water; I'd dig a new one. ;)

Grafting in a junction on a straight pipe is easy enough if you need to do it. A 'slip' collar and bit of extra digging will sort that out.

Well said Hugh. In fact if it isn`t inspected - careful use of a small disc cutter to get the pipes to " marry" then wrap all round with denso - it`s only rainwater and that `ll save you £20+ ;)
