Joining brass/chrome basin waste to solvent weld?

Hi

I need to join a chrome plated brass 32mm basin waste to 32mm solvent weld pipe. Do I have to use a compression joint or is there another way of doing it with a slimmer profile as the join will be in a cavity wall.

You have to use compression.

If its what I am thinking of on hans grohe flowstar traps we were supplied with rubber adapters with jubilee clips either end made by osma, this was 5 years ago though

You could use a fernco which is like above and quite readily available
