I have a 4 inch cast iron soil pipe on the outside of the house. It has a branch to an inside WC. Below that there is a join to a plastic (terrain 32) pipe coming from a macerator WC. The join looks as if a 50mmhole has been drilled in the pipe and a bracket fitted to hold a plastic insert in place (Fitting marked FIXACON 4).http://www.mypicshare.com/lf9ki2okpic.html
The waste pipes from the bath and basin are 42mm OD. They go into an open hopper and via a different route. There is a pic of this on http://www.mypicshare.com/lf9ki2okpic.html
I need to make some room for a beam so have to simplify the above.
I could (presumably) join the bath and basin wastes to the Terrain pipe, but this would reduce the diameter. Would the building inspector object or would I have any other problems? Otherwise could I drill a 42mm hole in the plastic Fixacon fitting and glue a 42mm pipe in? Any suggestions would be v helpful.
Thanks, John
