Hi
I've got 4 sheets of 12.5mm square edge plasterboard to fit to my ceiling.

I have some board tape, do I need to fill the gaps with plaster finish aswell?

We are painting the ceiling.

Thanks

As I understand it, featheredge is designed so you can scrim and plaster just the join, flush with the rest. Square edge you have to skim the lot smooth over the whole board and taped joint.

Even taper edge is square on the short edges. You can still tape and join you just need a small bulge of easyfill and feather the edges. Once up it'll be impossible to see unless the light catches it a particular way.

In answer to the OP. Smear of filler, push the paper tape into it, then a bit more filler over the top. Once dry sand it to a feathered edge and put a bit more filler into the gaps and gouges missed the first time (the pros probably don't need this stage)
