Hi,
did a search but couldn't find an answer...
I am putting in first floor joists, the regs specify joist hangers and the joists are 200x75 4.2m long - I was trying to work out what size joist hangers to use, various places seem to suggest that the joist should not be more than 10mm deeper than the hanger - i.e. the hanger should be a minimum of 190? Other places seem to suggest they should be exactly 190.. Screwfix do a well priced 200x75 hanger to BS<whatever> but once I take a small notch out of the bottom of the joist to ensure the plasterboard has a level run through this will mean the hanger is slightly deeper than the joist resting on it... is this also a no-no?
am interested in any thoughts..
cheers
