Sorry if this is a very obvious answer however I cannot find it in the archives or on Google.
When fitting timber joists to steel. If I opt to notch the timber into the beam what stops it from falling out. On all the guides I’ve seen they are just plonked in the web with noggins and wall ties to stop them moving horizontally. Is that a correct method or is this only acceptable between two steels?
