joypad issues with games

hi. like the topic suggests, iv just got into gaming on a pc, and used to playing on consoles with the joypad.iv just played some new games but cant use my usb joypad. is it a case that some games will only be played on a keyboard any help will do thanks.

Yep you've got it, unlike the consoles that expect to see the joypad so games are written for them, with a pc the game has to support them.
