Junction Boxes

Hello to all.

Please could you tell me if it's ok to fit a junction box on a ring main. This is in the kitchen.

I was told that I could, but that the JB has to be accessible? Is that so?

It would be a problem as the JB would be in the ceiling.

If it is in the ceiling then you will need a junction box with "maintenance free" connectors.
