Junction boxes

On 30A Junction Boxes, they are 3 terminals. Two close together and one apart from the other two. What goes where?
Does live n neutral go together and earth seperate, or doies it not matter?

the other way round normally live by itself & neutral & earth nearest each other.

I agree. earth & neutral are at (mostly) the same potential so group them together.

Where ever the cables present them self neatly.

Makes no odds at all.

The gap is only there so the lid screw has something to screw into. It is not for keeping the wires seperate.
