Hi, a friend of mine asked me to fit a new light fitting she had bought. I removed the existing bulb/covers and was faced with what i know now is a rose.
Looks identical to the above, 3 black wires (1 with red tape on which i understand is the switched live), 3 red wires and 3 earths. The new light fitting (rail with 4 spot lamps) comes with a 4 block terminal thing attached, marked up as "LIVE", "EARTH", "NEUTRAL" and "LOOP". As far as i know, its just a case of me sticking in the black wire with red tape (my switch live) into the "LIVE" on the terminal block, grouping the earth cables together and sticking them into "EARTH" on the block, sticking my other 2 black cables into "NEUTRAL" and then my 3 red wires into the "LOOP" block yes? Does that make sense?
Thanks
