K render v one coat

Hi
I have some rendering to do on a block porch and a brick wall.

Just wondered what the advantages and disadvantages are between k and one coat render ?

On the block porch I’ll be starting it above the dpc , does the same
Apply for the garden wall or can
I go Down To the ground
