Keep having to bleed radiator

I'm finding I'm having to bleed my bedroom radiator quite heavily every few days - any idea what might be causing that, and how I can put it right, please? It's a single-panel radiator, quite elderly, I shouldn't be surprised, and tends not to get hot at the top, although the bottom is fine. The one which I assume is next to it in the circuit - and away from the boiler - is virtually off. I don't know if that would make any difference?

In case it's of any use: the boiler is a conventional one, and was replaced earlier this year. No idea how old the system is. Bedroom is first floor, at the back, with the boiler being at the front.

Thanks, as usual, for your suggestions.

Rust and sludge in the system causes gasses to build up

Or you have a leak that is not visible especially if your heating pipes are below the flooring.

Agreed.
OP - take a sample of the system water, and put on a bright wire nail test. Don't wait for the results, add some inhibitor, as it's sure to be low or no. After it's circulated for a day or so, sample again and do another bright wire nail test, to see if it needs more inhibitor .
