Kenmore not running

I have a 9 year old portable that all that works is the timer, you set it and it will run thru all the cycles but the machine doesn't do anything, At first it didn't drain the whole way so I tried to set it to drain at the end of the rinse cycle and now it doesn't do anything. Any help you can be, we use it everyday thanks
