I have a KMC510 Kenwood chef, and the high speed output spindle is damaged. This is the spindle on top of the machine to which you attach a liquidiser. How do I replace it?
I can remove the top cover, remove the drive belt, and remove the planetary gear assembly i.e the horizonal top part. That reveals the spindle poking out of the top and I can see the motor. Looks like I need to remove the casting that encloses the motor, and to which the speed dial is attached. I don't know how to do that. Once removed, the spindle seems to be held on with a pin.
