keraflex on a kerdi ds membrane?

Hi, I'm building a steam shower and have installed kerdi DS on the surfaces in the cubicle. The shop which sold me the kerdi recommended keraflex to adhere the porcelain tiles
, large format, to the kerdi. I have since read that I should be using unmodified thin set. Does anyone have experience with kerdi? My worry is that the keraflex won't set between the membrane and the tiles.

If you ever watch Holmes on Homes he always talks about using modified thinset one side and un-modified on the other. I believe however that this advice is specific to the US/Canada and doesn't apply over here. I would check with Schulter for their specific advice.

Does say modified to lay the mat un-modified for the tiles.

Spoke to tech support at Schluter, they said that the appropriate adhesive should be selected for the tile not the membrane, as the membrane is fleece lined most adhesives will cure to it.

So I think I'm gonna give the keraflex a go as it is correct for the tiles, I'm still worried that it won't dry after reading some horror stories on US forums.....it must be something in their water

Any advice on fixing a ledger to the wall without peircing the membrane or glueing to the fleece?

i know that when using ditra, granfix specify an s2 adhesive to fit the mat and then an s1 between the mat and the tiles.

The problem isn't the addy curing under the mat as the floor should be permeable. Between the mat and a porcelain tile neither is permeable which is why they usually recommend an un-modified addy.
