Kettling noise in boiler

Hi All

I have a 12 year-old combi boiler from IMI Range Ltd (whatever that is) and it is constantly making noise. I thought it could do with a descale, but have no idea how to administer a descaler like Fernox or Sentinel. Should this be done by a professional plumber or can I just go out and buy this and administer it myself?

Could do it yourself but like you said you have no idea, get it wrong and you could end up with a nasty bill.
Get someone to come and have a look first and ask for quote to sort problems.
