Hi there, I have a new IDS X64 alarm panel. Replaced old one and rewired everything. The system uses a 24VDC 1.5A power supply and 7AH battery.

There are 16 zones and only 13 connected. All NC with tamper and uses 4k7 and 12k EOL resistors. As soon as I connect a 14th PIR, it creates a short and keypad switches off. Tried another PIR and cable, doing the same. When I remove the power from the PIR, keypad switches on again and everything works.

Need some help please, is the power supply the issue?, panel has a 750mA max output/support via the 12v Aux. Is it possible the PIR's, keypad, siren are using 750mA?

Please help
Thank you

The manual is available online I haven't checked the devices consumption as dont know what is actually connected and to where and that could determine power consumption.

a local forum is likely to be your best option as mentioned, but do put a link to the answer once found it will help others.
