my bottom taskbar (start / other icons etc) has now managed to find itself on the right, any idea how to send it back, and as usual no one is to blame!!!!

Right click on it and make sure "lock the taskbar" isnt checked.

Then, simply (left ) click and hold in an empty space on the bar and drag to the bottom of the screen.

thanks for that, but no good, its permantly on the right hand side, will move left and right but not up / down.

When You get your machine the way You want it lock everyone else out with their own log ins.If you allow all and sundry admin privileges you can expect all sorts of thing to happen
