Hi,
I've bought a Kinetic Midi HE water softener. I contacted a couple of plumbers to install it but no interest (busy season I assume) - so I'm having a go at doing it myself.
The thing is it comes with a rapid fit adapter https://monarchwater.co.uk/monarchs-new-hi-flow-rapid-fit-bypass-makes-installation-even-easier/
It's quite a big chunk of plastic that's a bit heavy to place amongst the pipework so I'm not sure where is appropriate to store it. The instructions give no suggestions and I can't find anything on the Internet.
I was thinking of:
- resting it on the floor underneath the pipework.
- cutting a section of the copper pipework after the stopcock.
- Inserting 90 degree elbow push fits into the exposed copper.
- Connecting JG speed fit upvc piping from the elbow fits to the adapter on the floor.
Does this seem like a reasonable thing to do? I'm concerned that the water pressure will cause the upvc pipes and adapter to move around uncontrollably as they won't be secured.
Thanks
