Just had a new gas fire installed and noticed a kink in the gas pipe that the gas fitter fitted. Is this ok?

as sais far from ideal but it depends on how much gas reachs the appliance

I believe safety checks were done. I got a cert. Must say generally I have confidence in him, just worries the hell out of me seeing a kink in a gas pipe. The gas fire does work so the gas is obviously getting through.
