Kitchen cabinet fixing failing

Hi I have a kitchen cabinet about 1.2m wide.
It is held onto the wall by 4 screws as red arrows in picture
The top left screw seems to have come out of the cabinet is coming off at that corner.

I believe the wall is dot and dab so suspect the problematic screw is just in the plaster.

The back board of the cabinet appears to be 18mm MDF as picture also so the screws are holding it to the wall through this.

In order to repair this was thinking of getting 4 corefix 120mm fixings with washers in place and use the existing holes with failing screws. I am happy with the position so doesn't need adjustment.

Would that be secure enough to hold up the MDF?

They would be ample, on the proviso that you can drill 10mm holes into your existing holes and that the existing masonry is adequate, if the masonry is crap then a Corefix is as useless as anything else.

Hopefully the existing masonry is ok.

I've read reviews that the corefix are prone to spinning in the holes even if drilling a 10mm hole. Any tips for getting a snug fit ?

9mm hole? Is your house new or old, if new (ie 30years or younger or whatever) then the masonry will likely be consistent strength, if 50 years or older then sometimes you need four different fixings for four different holes, never can tell until you go to tighten those screws ....

it's an extension within the past decade.

Good shout with the 9mm bit, hopefully that does the magic, will do it this week and let you know how it went on
