I am currently costing a new kitchen and am shocked at the prices being asked for the internal fittings.

The fittings I mean are the chrome baskets etc and fancy mechanicals used on the pull out pantrys and corner base cabinets.

Does anyone know of a supplier from which I can source direct rather than buy through the kitchen suppliers?

They are overpriced so as the companies in question can have all-year-round sales. The cabinets are in the sale, all the other stuff usually isn't. I bought a veg basket for a 600mm cabinet from MFI, cost £25! When it arrived it was a load of cheap tosh, I mean it'll do the job but probs cost about £4 to make, looking like an oversized shopping basket.

The upside is that there was a drawer runner missing, when I phoned to ask for a replacement they sent a whole new drawer set for free. I'll get a spare runner off ebay for a quid.
