hello

Our plastic tongue and groove, gloss white, kitchen ceiling panels have some damage from a prosecco bottle cork.

To replace the single panel I believe we would have to remove the wall cabinets and then remove all the other panels, which is an absolute last resort.

I’ve considered filling with, and then painting, decorating caulk; I’ve considered gloss white silicone; even painting a.n.other material I can ‘stuff’ in there, but I don’t think any of those would leave an acceptable result.

Does anyone have any ideas on a suitable repair please?

Fit a ceiling bluetooth speaker. Will have to get above to run power to it

You can colour match polyester fillers, but to get the shade correct and then sand it back and polish it out is probably beyond the scope of most DIYers, You could google the kind of firms that repair worktops. Off the top of my head, I would guestimate £150. They have to turn up, sand the uPVC back, then fill and polish off.

Superglue a Prosecco cork in place and tell visitors about the time it got stuck.
