I need to get a new kitchen designed. B&Q do a free service in store and Ikea have software to assist, but do you know of any other companies who do a free consultation? The probelm, is that I'd like assistance in planning the layout to utilise the space best.

Think Magnet do. Also, of you find a tradesman who has a Howden's account, then Howden's do it also for free. You don't need to use either the tradesman nor Howdens (this is called "lying" in the trade - you can always say you can't afford it, change of mind etc, etc), since the units are pretty standard in dimensions, but they will provide you with nice 3D pictures plus a copy of the dimensions and layout of the units.

do us some photo's of the space and a drawing of the floorplan of it with things like water supply and drains and windows and doors and outside walls marked..

I like to play with this sort of stuff..
