Hi All,

Just about to fit new kitchen units with end panels. Just wanted to know what the best way to cut these end panels is, router(I have one of these) or plunge saw with rails or something else. Also should they protrude 22mm at the front of unit. Finally our floors are very uneven so any advice on measuring for the cuts and making it look neat would be appreciated.

Thanks All
Victor

I think they look right when the edges are flush or ever so slightly projecting with thickness of the doors, and flush or very slightly projecting at the top and bottom of the cabinets.

At the bottom, if they are flush with the doors, you can run plinth beneath them, or the panels will get scuffed and marked, and possibly water damaged from spills and wet-mopping. If you want them to touch the floor, use the plastic plinth channel that has a fin which will accommodate a little unevenness in the floor
